I’ll be rating these out of ten based on the build, battery life, fit, microphone quality, functionality, and sound quality. I just haven’t been in the right frame of mind to make videos lately for a variety of reasons. You probably don’t care, but the good news is that regular uploads will resume. I retract my statement; these are unquestionably their best efforts. Consider the case of the liberty 2 pros so far. If it were much more compact and pocket-friendly, with four different color options to choose from, that’s what I mean. Also, check Plantronics Voyager 5200 Black Friday.
The buds are among the best stem design earbuds available. I’ve ever tested that are almost identical to airpods pro in terms of size, weight, and shape, but with longer stems. I’m not going to hype it any further than I already have, so they get a well-deserved 9 out of 10 from me. They lose a point for not being as compact as their predecessor, which also had an ipx5 rating, but other than that, it’s difficult to find flaws. In terms of battery life, Soundcore promises seven hours of playback in a single listening session and a total of 26 hours.
When you factor in the charging case, that’s actually two hours less than the original Liberty Air 2, but it’s not a big deal considering. We also have amc, which can be a notorious battery drain during my real-world testing. In reality, the figures sound core provided are most definitely with anc off. I only got about three and a half hours of playback in a single sitting and a paltry 11 hours of battery life with amc on, which is significantly less than almost all other amc earbuds. I’ve tested them, which means they get a 4 out of 10 for battery life.
It’s some of the worst test results I’ve ever seen. I haven’t seen anything like this in a long time when it comes to battery life, and not even their quick charging speeds or wireless charging can save them.
Fortunately, things are starting to improve. When it comes to fit and comfort, the pros are far more comfortable and secure than the original liberty air 2, which is why the silicon tip on the pros butts up right against. the body of the bud, whereas on the older model, the silicon tip is actually quite far away from the body of the bud.
This means that the older model sits much further away from your ears. with little support, whereas the pros sit completely in your ears, where they’re far less likely to wiggle free, so fit is a 9 out of 10. I would recommend them for light to moderate workouts. They also put a lot less pressure in your ear canals, with no signs of ear fatigue set in until at least two hours, so microphone test of the soundcore liberty air 2 pros.
It’s a pro for microphone quality. You guys let me know in the comments if you think I’m wrong. I haven’t heard anything good about it, but I won’t be able to tell you until I get back to the studio and give it a listen. But first, let’s listen to the original liberty air twos to see if they’re better or worse, so do that right now, and the soundcore liberty air 2. What do you think? Do they sound better or worse?
I’ll do exactly that. I hadn’t heard good things about the microphone quality of the liberty air 2 pros, but I think that test just put things to rest. They definitely sounded better than the original liberty air 2s, which had clear voice capture and the pros don’t, so that’s a bit of a surprise. However, I had updated them to the most recent firmware, so the pros may have benefited in that regard. But, in any case, I’m happy to give these a 9 out of 10 formic quality because true wireless earbuds have a bad reputation for mic quality, and these certainly do not deserve it.
We have Bluetooth 5.0, which is fine, and it’s certainly not a bad thing, but I’ve started to see a lot of budget buds with Bluetooth 5.2. So, why should you be concerned? The original liberty air 2 are also supported aptx but sadly we’ve lost that on the pros meaning anyone. 5.2 offers a stronger more stable connection and crucially more efficient power consumption, which clearly the pros desperately needed. If you have an Android device and want to stream higher-quality audio files, you’ll have to look elsewhere. Fortunately, aptx could have resulted in a much-needed improvement in power efficiency as well as reduced audiovisual lag.
