Instant Pot Boxing Day Sales 2021
We all know someone who is obsessed with their Instant Pot. I am not one of those people, but I can see the appeal. Pressure cooking is a great way to make a meal quickly and with little cleanup. I decided to take the plunge and buy an Instant Pot and here is what I think.
The first thing I tried to make in my Instant Pot was a cup of rice, I know it seems like a boring first use but I haven’t had rice in years and the directions looked simple. The verdict? It took about 30 minutes from start to finish and wasn’t near as bad as I expected. Cleanup was a breeze, it’s basically a pot and a removable liner so there is not much to clean.
Next up I wanted to try something with meat in it, so I made one of my favorite recipes, tacos. They turned out great and they were super simple to make. It actually took less time than my usual method of cooking them on the stove. Cleanup was easy again, with just a few dishes to wash.
Overall, I am really happy with my Instant Pot. It is not something that I use every day, but it is nice to have for those days when I want something quick and easy. If you are on the fence about getting one, I would say go for it, you may end up loving it as much as my friends who are obsessed with theirs.
